Well, the last three months of 2008 are here. Feels like yesterday I was in a heavy crowd filled with nerds! At least now the weather in San Diego has cooled down (it's raining right now!) and I'm not melting...
I finally won my first art contest! It was courtesy of Suvudu.com and it was to draw a self-portrait in anime form. I was one of four grand prize winners and, to be honest, I didn't think I had a good chance of winning (I never really do these contests to win, anyway), but I was just honored...

. I am now working on the huge logo contest dA is holding. Even though I swore to never do anything type-related ever again (after my traumatizing time in Type 1 in my junior year of college), I think I have a good chance of winning. Having the basics of Typography beaten in me (senselessly, I should add), I stand a chance. And talk about that prize... $2,500!! I won't have to work again! For a few months, anyway..

.
One more thing... 500 visits!! Thanks, everyone! I'll have a special drawing to commemorate! Hope to see you all (and many more) at 1,000!
Well, it's back to work!
I should have gotten in touch with you earlier, but I cant seem to find your card anymore and it took forever to find you.
Sorry about that.
But it was a pleasure to talk with you and I hope we can keep in touch!
I can't wait to see more of your drawings and maybe I'll see you at next year's Comic-Con!
See ya later!
I think I'll be putting up more work in my portfolio next week or so.
Comic Con was nice. Maybe I can go in the future.
I wanted to ask you how your review went with VIZ Media, but then I remembered that you had to leave after your review. So... how did it go with them? They had some good things to say about my stuff, but they were more interested in full-figure human drawings (which I just didn't have in my portfolio at the time.. dang). But I did leave them my card and hopefully something might come up...
Well, I'm still recovering from Comic-Con and just getting back to work and normal life. I'm saving up for a tablet and I hope to get one before the end of the year...

Q: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A: I believe in using einsteins theory of the relativity of the world's spinning tilt on it's axis affecting the said 'wood's' center of gravity that a woodchuck could chuck near 7
